Vilsandi island off the western coats of Saaremaa is one of the most favorite destinations for the nature lovers visiting Saaremaa island. There are several options to hike to Vilsandi island.
1) Our standard tour:
You will leave our cars at the top of the Kuusnõmme peninsula, where you’ll pack your backpacks and start our journey. As you find our way through the sea, you will cross the islets and walk through the water. A car will pick the group up for a meal once you reach Vilsandi. Then, we will drive to the lighthouse overlooking the islands of Vaika – here, the nature conservation of the entire Baltic area began in 1910.
On the island, you will get to know the characteristics of the nature in Vilsandi and hear stories about life on the island. A lot of famous shipbuilders and sailors have grown up in Vilsandi. We will return to Saaremaa by boat.
You would need sporty attire (a swimwear) and closed shoes. Be sure to pack a change of clothes and shoes.
